Accumulated invoices
During the transition period, some customers may receive an additional invoice. This is an accumulated invoice that includes charges that were not included in the regular invoicing cycle.
Separate invoices for material compensation
Material compensation is reported on a separate invoice called a Self-Billing Invoice. The self-billing invoice can be used as a credit against a future payment.
Why am I receiving multiple invoices?
If you deliver materials such as metal, scrap metal, or cable, you may receive up to four separate invoices:
- Invoice for the collection and treatment of metal/scrap
- Invoice for other waste management services
- Self-billing invoice for material compensation (can be used as a credit)
- Self-billing invoice for metal/scrap compensation (can be used as a credit)
This is due to applicable VAT and accounting regulations. The total amount charged or compensated is not affected.
Invoices with and without VAT
Corrugated cardboard is invoiced with VAT in accordance with standard VAT regulations.
Mixed scrap metal and certain other metal fractions are subject to reverse charge VAT rules. This means that the invoice is issued without VAT, and the recipient is responsible for reporting the VAT.
As a result, you may receive invoices both with and without VAT depending on the material covered by the invoice.
