Ragn-Sells has about 2300 employees and maintains a fleet of approximately 1500 vehicles. The turnover was in 2009 about 400 million EURO.
Our objective is to advise and offer overall solutions to handle and refine residual products and waste for our customers. This ensures that their business can continue in a problem-free manner and that the appointed material can be used as secondary raw material, fuel and soil conditioner. We view our goals in terms of implementing the recycling principles. Our activities include:

Services for municipalities
Ragn-Sells is responsible for the collection, sorting, transport, recovery and treatment of residual products and waste in over 70 municipalities throughout Sweden. We also undertake the operation and management of water and wastewater treatment plants, parks, park vicinities, street-cleaning and similar services. The methods we use are the most environmentally friendly and economical, taking into account the resources available to us.
Customised systems for industry
Ragn-Sells offers a wide range of services to industry. In co-operation with our customers, we develop solutions which are environmentally sound, economical with resources, technically feasible, and financially viable.
Starting from the market available for recycled raw materials, Ragn-Sells develops eco-cycle systems that correspond to the service level and cost-efficiency requirements from industry. We are convinced that one of the keys to creating successful eco-cycle systems for our customers lies in our knowledge of the market for buying and using recycled materials such as glass, paper, plastics, metals, and rubber. The decisive factor is knowing the quality, quantity and delivery assurance requirements of the buyers/users.
Hazardous Waste
Ragn-Sells works within the area of hazardous waste and chemical residuals. Activities involve the collection, sorting, packaging, transport, recovery and final treatment of hazardous waste and other special wastes. The company also conducts clean-up operations after accidents involving oil and chemicals and carries out reclamation of polluted land areas.
Waste Treatment
This unit operates a number of treatment plants for the safe disposal of waste. One of them, the largest landfill in Sweden, is situated in the outskirts of Stockholm. In addition to our own landfills, Ragn-Sells runs several landfills on a contract basis for different municipalities.
International
Ragn-Sells has operations in Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Norway and Poland.
Ragn-Sells Elektronikåtervinning was established in 1995 as one of the first in Sweden to deal with recycling electronic waste. Sister companies have been established in Denmark and Norway.
Ragn-Sells Metall assists the Ragn-Sells collecting organisation in sorting and refining, and identifies buyers for the collected metal material.
